Our Trainers

Our trainers at Every Girl Fitness are motivated and dedicated to helping you define and reach your own personal fitness goal. We want to meet “every girl” where she is and get her to where she wants to be!

Leigh Karagas, trainer and co-founder of Every Girl Fitness, has worked in the fitness industry for over twenty years.  She has taught group fitness classes and been a personal trainer in both the Atlanta and Birmingham area.  She is currently certified as a fitness specialist and personal trainer with the YMCA, and is CPR and AED certified as well.  Leigh and her husband, John, have four daughters and reside in Birmingham.

Paula Windle, trainer and co-founder of Every Girl Fitness, is a graduate of the Auburn University School of Pharmacy, and has practiced pharmacy in both retail and clinical settings for over twenty years.  She is certified as a personal trainer through AFAA, Aerobics and Fitness Association of America.   She is also CPR and AED certified.  Paula currently resides in Birmingham with her husband, Keith, and their three daughters.

Kathleen Davis is a graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Fashion Merchandising.  She has been a certified group fitness instructor and personal trainer for over sixteen years in both Alabama and Florida, and is currently certified through AFAA, Aerobics and Fitness Association of America.  She is CPR and AED certified.  Kathleen is a resident of Birmingham, along with her husband Tyler and their three children.

Kelly Greiner is a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a degree in Sociology. She is also a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a degree in Elementary Education. She is a certified personal trainer through AFAA, Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, is TRX certified, and is a certified Tabata Bootcamp Instructor. Kelly resides in Liberty Park with her husband and two children and is CPR and AED certified.

Bently Hess is a 1995 graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in Sports Nutrition. She has practiced Clinical Nutrition for ten years and Minor Eating Disorder Treatment for fifteen years. Bently is certified as a personal trainer through AFAA, Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, and is CPR and AED certified. Bently and her husband, Greg, live in Liberty Park with their two children.

Catherine Meehan is a 1988 graduate of Vanderbilt University with a degree in Human Resource Development. She has been practicing yoga on and off for the past 18 years. In May 2012, she completed the Birmingham Yoga Teacher Training Program and achieved her 200-hour RYT license. Catherine loves that yoga encourages you to lead with your heart and not your head. Catherine and her husband, Andy, live in Birmingham with their three sons. She welcomes all levels in her class…if you can breathe, you can do yoga!

Susan Russell is a graduate of Furman University with a degree in Elementary Education. She later graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Master’s Degree in Special Education. She has taught Special Education in the Hoover and Mountain Brook City School Systems, and currently tutors in the afternoon hours. Susan is certified through AFAA, Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, as a Group Exercise Instructor, and is certified to teach Insanity as well as being CPR and AED certified. Susan is married to Blake Russell. They have two boys and live in Mountain Brook.
